The iPhone 14's September 7 launch date appears to be set

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported a few days ago that the iPhone 14 launch event would take place on September 7th.

The report followed another leaker's claim that Apple's iPhone event this year would take place on September 6th.

According to Gurman, Apple is planning to release the iPhone 14 earlier than expected.

He mentioned the same September 7th event date, which would make the iPhone launch the earliest since 2016.

Gurman goes on to say that Apple will hold the iPhone 14 launch event this year on a Wednesday for two reasons.

First and foremost, there is the longer Labor Day weekend. Second, Apple may want to set aside Tuesday for possible travel.

Apple may wish to invite members of the media and other guests to a mixed launch event.

That being said, if the September 7th date is correct, Apple should announce the iPhone 14 launch event on August 31st.
